Jason Alpert - Managing Partner, Castlebar Holdings

Jason Alpert is the Managing Partner of Castlebar Holdings, a distressed debt investor and an advisor / consultant for financial institutions.  Castlebar helps banks and credit unions in resolving and mitigating risk within their problem loan portfolios.

Jason created and led the distressed portfolio sale team for Wells Fargo, pooling and selling criticized and classified commercial loans in the secondary market. In just under five years, Jason’s team was able to sell over $1 billion in assets in 38 States achieving above market results and large recoveries for the bank.

Jason also led a workout team of commercial bankers, dispersed across the eastern United States. Jason’s team was able to restructure and resolve distressed loans to a wide variety of middle-market commercial borrowers ranging from a variety of asset types and industries.

Jason was a highly decorated Banker at Wells Fargo, having been awarded the Bank’s Golden Spoke Award (top 1% performer), Pinnacle Award, and Corporate Innovation Competition winner. He was also recognized as a “40 under 40” in the Tampa Bay Business Journal in 2021.

Jason is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tampa teaching “Introduction to Global Business” and was named Most Outstanding Part-Time Faculty for the College of Business in 2022. The required course covered a wide range of business disciplines and a variety of business cases and simulations.

Jason is on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Risk Management Association Journal as well as the Florida Chapter of the RMA and Turnaround Management Association. Jason has been published seven times in the RMA Journal and won Credit Risk Article of the Year. He is also a Judge in the University of Florida’s annual Next Big Idea Business Case Competition. He is a highly sought out speaker presenting at various professional conferences. Jason has MBA and bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Florida. 
 

Naomi O’Dell - Managing Director, Raymond James

Naomi is a Managing Director in the Debt Restructuring Group at Raymond James, specializing in the healthcare and not-for-profit sectors for over 20 years. Her industry background includes senior living, charter schools, higher education, student housing, hospitals, museums, theatres, churches, behavioral health, and other charitable organizations. 

Prior to joining Raymond James in 2023, Naomi gained investment banking experience at RBC Capital Markets. Before shifting to investment banking in 2018, Naomi managed multiple asset recovery divisions at Santander Bank as a Senior Vice President / Group Head, supervising more than $4.0 billion in assets. She has been involved in over 200 deals across the country, encompassing the full credit life cycle from seed capital / new construction through debt restructure / property disposition. 

Additionally, Naomi has sourced and negotiated over $500 million in property and note sales within the same healthcare and not-for-profit sector concentration. She has extensive experience with depositions and trial testimony in both bankruptcy and civil courts. 

Naomi holds a B.A. degree from Bradley University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She is currently registered with FINRA, holding Series 52, 63, and 79 securities licenses. 

Ken Yager - Founder & President, Newpoint Advisors Corporation

Ken is the founder and President of Newpoint Advisors and has 25 years of executive leadership experience in stakeholder communication. He has worked with clients in a variety of industries in over 150 engagements. Ken regularly takes on profit and loss and risk-management responsibility for cash-constrained companies in growth, leveraged-buyout and turnaround situations. He also has successfully worked on implementing hundreds of initiatives involving, operations and project management, team building, marketing, and sales and joint-venture management. He is a fierce advocate for capital preservation and saving jobs.
